Steward Invitational Tournament

The Gators played Steward School first, in the Steward Invitational Tournament. McSweeney ('10), Harlan ('11), and Budi ('12), our defensive line, held Steward to a 0-2 loss. Wolpert ('10) in Goal Keep, had a total of 12 saves. Budi ('12) had 1 defensive save. The only shots on goal were taken by Zacharias ('10). The Gators were disappointed after the loss, and would not let it happen again.

In the next game, the Gators played St. Margaret's School. The Gators started out strong with a goal from senior captain McSweeney ('10) in the first five minutes. The final goal of the half came from Caudill ('12), assisted by senior captain Zacharias ('10). Shots on goal were made by Puchalski ('13), McSweeney ('10), Beach ('10), and Caudill ('12). The energy was back up and the Gators were looking better than ever! In the second half, a goal was scored in the third minute of the game by senior offender Beach ('10). The Gators were determined to make it a shut out game. Wolpert ('10) had 8 goalkeeper saves. Shots on goal were made by Beach ('10), Zacharias ('10), and Mullen ('11). The final goal of the game was scored by Mullen ('11). The Gators ended up 3rd place in the tournament for the first time in several years!

The Gators go on to play LIS rival Trinity Episcopal School on Tuesday, September 15th, at 4:30pm! Come out and support the team!
