JV had a tournament at Collegiate School on Saturday.
The first game was played against Grafton. JV fought hard and only lost by one. Sophomore Captain, McDonald ('13) in goal, had 6 saves. Sophomore Captain, Aiken ('13) had two defensive saves. M. Gregory ('14) and Puccinelli ('14) also showcased their defensive skills. The Gators looked strong in their first showing!
The second game was played against Collegiate Green. This was a very difficult match and we lost by 3. McDonald ('13) had 10 defensive saves and Aiken ('13) had 1 defensive save. Morgan ('14) cleared the ball out of our sixteen yard circle several times, while being double teamed! The Gators fought hard in their second match.
The third and final games of the day was played against Collegiate Gold. The Gators started out strong in this match. Spicer ('14), L. Gregory ('14), and sophomore Captain, Moore ('13), had several shots on goal and almost scored several times. Veillette ('14), Graham ('13), Lucas ('13), and Berling ('14), also had some very nice fastbreaks up the field. The game ended in a 0-0 tie. The Gators are looking forward to their next game!
These ladies are sure to be successful this season! Look out for them in upcoming games!
